Differentiating between real and imaginary items.

Distinguishing beginning consonant sounds.

Naming the letters of the alphabet, recognizing both capital and lowercase.

Understanding of the relationship between the written and spoken word.

Through the exposure to these various types of literature, we will introduce kindergartners to the following skills: Kindergartners will have the opportunity to enjoy many types of literature including fiction, nonfiction, poems and chants.
